When it comes to durability, Injen’s Evolution series can’t be beat! Some of our competitors use an inferior HDPE linear polyethylene to mold their intake systems. HDPE is cheap for manufacturing but doesn’t come close to the strength and durability of XLPE polyethylene. Injen strictly uses the superior XLPE crosslinked polyethylene and has 20 times the environmental stress crack resistance of HDPE, 10 times the molecular weight of HDPE, and 5 times the impact and tensile strength of HDPE. XLPE Roto-molded Housing:
The one-piece sealed housing utilizes the all-new Injen Twist-Lock System to securely attach the SuperNano-Web Dry air filter in place which eliminates the use of unnecessary parts and provides one of the simplest installations available. The EVO9007C housing also sports the all-new Injen Clear-View badge for a cleaner more aggressive under hood appearance. We also integrated two additional Urethane Plugs into the side of the airbox in case your truck is tuned to the max and needs all of the air it can get.
XLPE Roto-molded Intake Tube:
The EVO9007C Evolution Air Intake System uses a custom designed and dyno-tuned, intake tube to produce huge power gains while retaining an OE quality fit. The specially tapered tube starts out at a huge 5 inches and slowly tapers down to ensure massive airflow at the turbo inlet. We have also incorporated our patented internal MegaRam (MR) technology for safe and effective power gains.
8-Layer Oiled Cotton Gauze Dry Air Filter:
"That’s massive!” is all you will hear about this 8-layer oiled cotton gauze air filter that is included with the EVO9007C cold air intake system. This filter is uniquely designed to work with the Injen Twist-Lock System. Using our Twist-Lock technology has allowed our technicians to use the largest filter available for this application for maximum air flow and filtration efficiency. This giant air filter enhances the air volume resulting in increased power gains while making this installation process quick and easy.
