R&D Technician


Injen Technology is a recognized leader in the automotive performance aftermarket with over two decades of proven manufacturing capabilities. We currently have opportunities for full-time employment for a skilled R&D Technician, with a background in exhaust design and/or manufacturing a plus.

As a team member of Injen Technology’s R&D department, you would share the responsibility and accountable for developing new and exciting products that keep Injen Technology at the forefront of the competition. Our newest R&D technician must ensure that tasks are completed on time to support product release schedules, while maintaining and consistently looking for ways to improve our already high-quality standards.

  • Build and test fit prototype products to ensure compliance with design guidelines
  • Fabricate tube and sheet metal ideas from scratch into a final prototype
  • Design and create fabricated items using shop equipment (band saw, air tools, welder, etc.)
  • Review and approve technical drawings to move forward into production
  • Able to communicate and ensure product fit up and testing notes are complete and accurate for final product releases.
  • Proficient in common welding techniques, with TIG welding preferred.
  • Meet with the production team to suggest new equipment or procedures to help streamline our exhaust manufacturing processes
  • Suggest, meet, and comply with all safety regulations and guidelines
  • Communicate daily regarding topics such as production safety, development status, fitment findings, etc.
  • Work in an environment that is based on teamwork and continuous improvement through support and execution of Lean Manufacturing practices


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 -5 years of related experience in applicable fabrication/engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as MIG Welding, Press Brake, and machining
  • Strong metal fabrication ability including MIG, TIG, cutting, coping, drilling, and finishing
  • Ability to measure using calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, etc.
  • Ability to read, understand, review, and approve engineering drawings
  • Strong creative thinking and ability to apply concepts
  • Ability to work outside standard business hours/occasional travel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritize workload
  • Some experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point to document and log work performed


    Additional Salary Information:
  • Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour, D.O.E..
